Bring a Child's World to the Classroom.
A workbook which allows the teacher to get to know his or her students better. Lucien Erickson consulted with numerous early childhood educators and attended various seminars and workshops on early childhood development as she spent more than two years writing her book.  She then shared "My World" with experts such as Gerald Forester.  University of Washington's Professor of Education and members of the Adlerian Society (named for psychologist Alfred Adler, a pioneer researcher in the role of positive thinking), who reinforced her ideas and encouraged her to develop "My World" into school curriculum.  ("My World" is currently in use in several classrooms in Washington State.)  Michele is available for consultation, training and storytelling.

Inspiration for MY WORLD.
The inspiration for "My World" came from my niece," says Seattle author, Michele Lucien Erickson.  "She had been an only child for the first four years of her life. Then my sister became pregnant, and all that changed.  It was obvious my little niece needed more attention, and as I observed her, I began to see the link between positive self-esteem in children and developing their full potential."
